The A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois State Seminar took place January 18-20, 2008.  It was held at the Northfield Inn in Springfield, IL and once again, while the Chicagoland area was getting covered with snow, many members of South Suburban were downstate learning about how our organization works, what issues are ahead of us, & chasin' away the winter blues.

Saturday evening after the workshops were held the awards dinner took place. It was a chance to meet fellow ABATE members from all over the state & acknowledge the accomplishments of last year.

South Suburban's efforts were recognized with awards for their contributions to ABATE PAC, Signing-up over 100 new members last year, their contribution to FED PAC (PACtober Fest), Perfect attendance at the board meetings downstate,  the award for most State bike Raffle tickets sold by a chapter, and their contribution as a Platinum sponsor of the Seminar.
